2. Heavy rainfall this past month has caused Illinois farmers to wonder whether or not they need to replant the crops. Most of the corn was planted in the past 2 weeks, but flooding in state, specifically in the Southern Illinois area, is causing farmers to be forced to replant again in the fields. Nearly ¼ of the corn fields in Illinois have had to be replanted and replaced. 20-percent of the soybean fields have been planted, with some already having to be replanted.
