The suspect, who died in the crash between a train and a vehicle, has been identified as a Centralia woman. 38-year-old Jenny Moore was heading north on Shattuc Road on Thursday afternoon at around 513pm, when she got struck by a Norfolk-Southern freight train, who was heading eastbound. Moore, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office, was the only occupant of the vehicle and had to airlifted to a St. Louis Hospital. The crash is still under investigation, but sheriff’s deputies believe that Moore got ejected from her vehicle, however, it’s unclear if she managed to climb out of the winder of her vehicle and crawl or if she was ejected. Assisting in the accident on the scene was the Centralia Fire Protection and the Clinton County Emergency Services and Disaster Agency. Shattuc Road was closed for several hours on Thursday Night after the crashed happened.
