Seven accidents were reported to the Nashville Police Department and the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.  On Monday, a minor traffic crash occurred at Little Nashville near I-64 just after 12pm.  Charles Brickey of Nashville and Jace Hall of Salem were the two that were involved.  Charles was backing up to help give a semi-truck more room to make a turn and that resulted in his vehicle causing damage to Jace’s vehicle by hitting it.  Another minor traffic crash occurred on Tuesday just before 830pm with a 2-vehicle crash at Nascote Industries.  Pinckneyville resident Colton Kuhnert made a sharp turn and struck a parked vehicle in the parking lot of Javee Patron of Addieville.  A routine traffic accident crash report was written up and completed at the scene with no injuries.  Wednesday, a 2-vehicle crash occurred by 2-teenagers on Nashville between West St. Louis Street and North Washington Street.  Just after 2pm, 16-year-old Sheridan Aaron was attempting to cross West St. Louis Street, did not see an oncoming vehicle heading west, and got t-boned.  The other vehicle, driven by 18-year-old Olivia Sturgill, struck Aaron’s driver’s-side of the car.  On Thursday, a minor, 2-vehicle crash was reported in the parking lot of Farmers and Merchants Bank on 285 South Mill Street.  Officers arrived to find that Nashville resident Linda Gill backed her vehicle and hit another.  That other vehicle was driven by Jake Kobus of Nashville.  A report was written and no injuries were reported.  Two accidents occurred on Friday May 19th.  The 1st one was written up by the Nashville Police Department.  They responded to the accident at 440am to find that Pinckneyville resident Dejaun Huntt had backed his vehicle into a parked car, which was owned by Jeffery Wrzesinski of Radom.  No injuries were reported.  Also on Friday, Sheriff’s Deputies responded to a 1-vehicle accident on State Route 177, near Hoyleton.  20-year-old Dalton Hirsch of Ashley swerved his vehicle to avoid colliding with a deer and caused himself to exit the roadway.  His vehicle entered into a pasture, through a fence and caused minor damage to the property.  Nobody received any injuries in this accident.  Lastly on Sunday, a 2-vehicle crash was reported from two Coulterville residents on State Route 153 near Honeysuckle Road.  Gwendolyn Keck, a 53-year-old of Coulterville, was driving her vehicle and backed-up into 53-year-old Coulterville resident Kenneth Mumper’s vehicle.  No injuries were reported.
