Sunday morning storms results in a crash along Route 37, with a woman from Kell airlifted to an area hospital to help with her injuries sustained. At around 6am on Sunday, ISP officers announced that 22-year-old Morgan Hawkins, of Kell, struck a large tree along northbound Route 37, which was in the middle of the roadway. She was forced to maneuver out of the way and ended up striking a different tree. Hawkins was then airlifted to an area hospital in St. Louis to help treat her injuries. The Kell Fire Chief stated that the driver of a 2nd vehicle had an accident as well as a result of the fallen tree. That driver saw Hawkins vehicle, swerved and ended up crashing into a power pole. That driver was uninjured.
