Public health officials report that a 2nd case of the measles was found to a person at the Chicago O’Hare International Airport. The Illinois Department of Public Health announced on Wednesday that the case is unrelated to the one report last week. The department says that there is no measles outbreak at the O’Hare Airport, which served over 78-million passengers in 2016. Officials say that the individual with the 2nd confirmed case was at the airport on January 9th. Authorities say that local health department are currently contacting people who are believed to be the most at risk, including passengers on the inbound flight to Chicago. The individual also was at different locations in suburban Chicago. Measles is easily spread through the air, when someone coughs or sneezes. Experts say that people who think that they might have been exposed, should get in contact with their health care provider.
