That is down compared to the December 2016 numbers. 6 homes were sold in Washington County last month, which is down by 1 house or 14-percent lower from what we saw in December 2016. In Clinton County, 33 homes were sold in December, up by 1 house or just under 3-percent from last year. The Statewide Median Price in December was right at $185,000, up by 6.3-percent from December 2016. The median is a typical market price where half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. In Washington County, the median price was down by 26.8-percent, for a figure of $99,500. In 2016, it was at $136,000. The median price in Clinton County was $109,000, down from $143,000 or 23.8-percent from December of 2016. To end the 2017 year, 103 homes were sold in Washington County. That number is up by 28.8-percent from last year, which was at 80. The average price of a home this year is $103,000, up from $89,700 in 2016. Clinton County saw 302 homes sold in 2017, up by 1.7-percent or by 5 homes from 2016. The average price of a home in Clinton County this year is $120,000, down by 2.4-percent from 2016, which was at $123,000. Homes were on the market an average of 60 days in Illinois, down from 67 days in December 2016. In Washington County, homes were on the market for an average of 68 days, up from 57 days in December 2016. Clinton County homes are on the market an average of 101 days, down from 123 homes from last year in December. In the 2017 year, homes were on the market for an average of 109 days in Washington County, up from 101 in 2016.
