The Nashville Police Department responded to 21 calls this past week. On Monday, February 19th, officers responded to the 800 block of East B Avenue in Radom, to help assist sheriff’s deputies with a report of an altercation. A juvenile reportedly was acting violently with a knife, with police arriving to the scene to secure the situation. Also last Monday, officers located debris along State Route 15, just east of Angela Drive. Officers removed the bebris and discovered that it was a sign belonging to IDOT, which apparently had been struck by a vehicle that crashed into the ditch. Police checked the area for any accidents and were unable to locate any. On Wednesday, February 21st, officers responded to the 800 block of South Mill Street, in regard to lost property. On Saturday, February 24th, officers conducted a traffic stop and ended up arresting a female from Cottage Hills, Illinois. 27-year-old Aprildawn Harrison was arrested for driving while having a suspended license. She also got cited for operating an uninsured vehicle. Also on Saturday, Nashville Police responded to the Circle K on 150 North Mill Street for a report of a suspicious person asking for money in the parking lot. Police said that the juvenile male subject was from Joliet and was asking people for money so that he could resume his travels to Florida. Police then spoke with his parents over the phone and they said that their son was missing form the home. They asked officers to take him into protective custody until they could come to Nashville and take custody of him. Officers did so and released the juvenile once his parents arrived.
