Washington County completed all 23 precincts, and here are the final results. Current Governor Bruce Rauner won in Washington County with 66-percent of the voting. He barely won overall in the state with 51.5-percent of the voting. JB Pritzker won in Washington County with 55.8-percent of the votes. In the state, he won against the other candidates with 45.2-percent. Winning on the Republican Attorney General ticket in our county was Erika Harold, with 54.6-percent of the votes. She beat Gary Grasso in the state with 59.2-percent of the votes. On the democratic side, Kwame Raoul won with 30-percent of the votes in the state, but lost to Patt Quinn in our county, who is in 2nd place overall with 27.3-percent of votes. Quinn won Washington County with 55.4-percent of the voting, compared to Raeoul’s 5.7-percent. Jason Plummer won on the Republican State Senate ticket with 56.8-percent of the votes in Washington County. He won overall with over 13,220 votes. Benjamin Stratemeyer got 2nd with 27.6-percent in our county. Charles Meier won in Washington County for the 108th District with nearly 89-percent of the voting. He won overall with 71.6-percent of the votes. On the Republican Ticket in District 115, Terri Bryant beats Paul Jacobs 56.6-percent to 43.3-percent. Also in District 115 on the Democratic side, Marsha Griffin defeats Tamiko Mueller 66-percent to 34-percent. For the Treasurer’s position on the Republican ticket, Natalie Lynch wins over Linda Unverfehrt 55.4-percent to 44.6-percent. Other winning candidates in our area included County Sheriff Len Campbell, who ran unopposed, Nancy Heseman for County Clerk and Sharon “Harre” Mewes for County Assessor. For Washington County Board, there is only one democrat, Raymond Kostecki, on the ballot for 2 positions in District One. On the Republican ballot, the two candidates for the 2 positions in District 1 are Gene Lamczyk and Gary Suedmeyer. In District 2, there are 3 spots available on the Republican ballot, with only one candidate. That candidate is Alan Holt, with Letisha Luecking and Brian Klingenberg running as write-in candidates. In District 3, there are 3 spots available, with 2 candidates. That is David Meyer and Douglas Bening. Full election results are also posted on our website, at v1047.com.
