Illinois Realtors’ reports that Illinois statewide home sales were down by 5.1-percent in the month of February. 11 homes were sold in Washington County last month, which is up by 4 homes or by 57-percent from what we saw in February 2017. In Clinton County, 12 homes were sold in February, down by 6 houses or by 33-percent from last year. The Statewide Median Price in February was right at $185,000, up by 8.8-percent from February 2017. The median is a typical market price where half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. In Washington County, the median price was up by 87-percent, for a figure of $126,000. In 2017, it was at $67,300. The median price in Clinton County was $158,250, up from $110,250 or by 43.5-percent from February of 2017. So far this year, 12 homes have been sold in Washington County, with an average price of $126,000. Clinton County has 33 homes sold in 2018 so far, with an average price being $115,210. Homes were on the market an average of 71 days in Illinois, down from 74 days in February 2017. In Washington County, homes were on the market for an average of 73 days, down from 74 days in February 2017.
