A Centralia teenager was sentenced on Tuesday, inside the Marion County court, for time already served in jail and to 4-years of probation, after pleading guilty to a robbery. The charge she pled guilty to was the lesser of the two she was facing. 18-year-old Corneshia Fletcher was facing a Class X felony of home invasion, which caused an injury, and a Class 2 felony for robbery. She pled guilty to the robbery, in exchange to the Class X felony being dismissed. She was sentenced to 79 days in jail, with credit for days already served, 4 years of probation and ordered to pay a little over $1,100 in court costs. Fletcher was arrested back in January, after police discovered information that pointed her as the suspect in a home invasion case. Police also arrested 19-year-old Briesha Rush, of Mt. Vernon, in connection to the same home invasion. She was charged with a Class 4 felony for obstruction of justice, for allegedly attempting to destroy property taken in the home invasion. Rush pled guilty last week to 6 days in jail and 2-years of probation. She must also complete drug and alcohol treatment, and pay over $1,000 in court costs, fines and fees. Just before midnight on January 8th, 2018, a resident of the Lamplight apartments heard a knock at her door, but before she could answer, the door flew open and 3 women rushed into the apartment. As the resident struggled with one of the suspects, the others ransacked the apartment and eventually fled, after stealing some of the items.
