A man from Nashville is arrested and charged with methamphetamine possession, after being arrested in Washington County on Monday.  33-year-old Paul Frantz appeared in court on Tuesday, where he was officially charged with a Class X felony for unlawful possession of between 100 to 400 grams of methamphetamine, along with a Class 2 felony of unlawful possession of meth with intent to deliver and a Class A misdemeanor for possession of drug paraphernalia.  His jury trial was set for August 20th, with a preliminary hearing on July 3rd.  A Class X felony of meth possession has a sentence of between 6 to 30 years at the Illinois Department of Corrections, with a fine up to $200,000.  A Class 2 felony for meth possession has jailtime of between 3 to 7 years, with a fine up to $25,000.  Frantz was placed on probation back in 2004 for 12 month, after being in possession of between 10 to 30 grams of cannabis and 24 months of probation in 2006 for a domestic battery case.  Frantz had his bond set at $50,000 for this current methamphetamine possession charge.
