Attorneys are working on a possible trial date, for a man who allegedly gouged out the eyes of a Nashville resident earlier this year. A pretrial hearing was held on Tuesday for 51-year-old Allen Joseph Fisher, who was charged with the battery causing disfigurement back in April. Investigators say that Fisher chased down 46-year-old Robert Pfister and eventually blocked his car in on a dead-end road, before he gouged his eyes to a point where Pfister may possible lose his eyesight permanently. During the pre-trial hearing, prosecution and defense attorneys worked out some issues with evidence in the case. Prosecutors have until the end of the month to submit things that support their case, with the defense having a few weeks to respond before a motion hearing on August 30th. Attorneys say that there is a possibility of a trial to be set in late October. The final pre-trial hearing will occur a couple weeks before the actual trial.
