Officers are looking for a suspect, who was involved in a high-speed chase on Sunday night, that raced through Odin and Sandoval, before heading south into Central City and Centralia. According to Odin Police, at around 840pm on Sunday, one of their officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle, because it had no license plate. It instead was displaying a Confederate flag where the rear plate would normally be placed. The orange Pontiac Sunfire 1990 to 2000 car instead fled from the officer. Stop sticks were deployed in Central City, but failed. The front end became damaged some, because it fled across the railroad crossing. The vehicle was then found stopped near the Pinnacle Plant on the southside of Centralia, where the transmission apparently gave out. No suspects were located when the vehicle was recovered abandoned, which was at around 910pm on Sunday. Anyone who can give any information on the identity or the whereabouts of the suspected driver is urged to contact the Marion County Sheriff’s Office or the Centralia Police Department.
