A new development is possible, in regard to the 2010 disappearance of a Woodstock, Illinois woman, who was last reportedly seen boarding an Amtrak train in Centralia. Remains were found last December, in a fire pit in rural Jefferson County. They were then sent to the University of Indianapolis for analysis, and now the Illinois State Police Department has a confirmation on what was suspected, which is that the remains were human. According to ISP, an additional out-of-state examination is now needed, in order to see if a positive identification can be made. NO time frame has been given, in regard to the possibility of identifying the remains. Beth Bentley was supposedly getting on a train in Centralia, in order to take her back to the Chicago area in 2010. No one at the Amtrak station reported seeing anyone resembling Bentley and she was never seen or heard from again. Her family has since had her legally declared dead.
