Facebook announces that hackers accessed data from over 29-million accounts, as part of the security breach disclosed 2 weeks ago. The 29-million is lower than the initial 50-million, that were believed to be affected. Hackers accessed names, email addresses and phone numbers from these accounts, according to Facebook. For 14-million users, hackers were able to get more information, including hometown, birthdate, the last 10 places that they checked into or the 15 most recent searches. An additional 1-million accounts were affected, but hackers were unable to get any information on them. At the time, CEO Mark Zuckerberg, whose account was compromised as well, said attackers would have had the ability to view private messages or posts that someone had on their account, but make no sign that they did so.
