The Centralia Police Department made an arrest over the past weekend, in regard to an incident that sent a man to the hospital with head injuries. Officers report that the arrest was made, after information was made public of the incident. According to the Centralia Police Department, after an appeal was made in the news for information on 2 young men reportedly beating a woman at the Burger King parking lot in Centralia on Saturday night, an individual contacted police with a tip. The tip led to the arrest of a 17-year-old juvenile man, who allegedly attacked a 42-year-old man, who needed treatment at an area ER. The other young male and the female who was beaten by the two men were also identified in the tip. Officers reported that just before 11pm on Saturday, the Centralia victim was a passenger in a vehicle that was in the restaurant drive-thru, when he noticed 2 younger male subjects beating up an unidentified female. He attempted to intervene, when one of the suspects reportedly started to attack him. He then was knocked to the ground and punched several more times. He was left unconscious when officers arrived and had to be taken to an area hospital for treatment. The Centralia Police Department would like to thank the public for their help in identifying the juvenile suspect. The department says that citizen cooperation is essential in police identifying and apprehending subjects.
