Illinois Realtors’ reports that Illinois statewide home sales were down by 10.4-percent in the month of September from last year. 8 homes were sold in Washington County last month, which is down by 3 homes or by 27-percent from what we saw in September 2017. In Clinton County, 23 homes were sold in September, down by 8 houses or by 25-percent from last year. The Statewide Median Price in September was right at $202,000, up by 1-percent from September 2017. The median is a typical market price where half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. In Washington County, the median price was down by 5-percent, to $85,250. In 2017, it was at $90,000. The median price in Clinton County was $132,500, up from $118,500 or by 11-percent from September of 2017. So far this year, 71 homes have been sold in Washington County, with an average price of $93,000. Clinton County has 230 homes sold in 2018 so far, with an average price being $134,500. Homes were on the market an average of 45 days in Illinois, down from 48 days in September 2017. In Washington County, homes were on the market for an average of 106 days so far this year, down from 109 days last year. Clinton County homes are on the market an average of 62 days, down from 84 days from last year in May. All these figures are from the Illinois Realtors official report.
