The Marion County Coroner’s Office is currently investigating an accidental electrocution death of a Salem resident. According to the coroner, 32-year-old Alex Carroll, of Cross Road, was apparently experimenting with an electrical device in his garage, when he came in contact with the energized portion of the device, allowing a high voltage amount of electricity to go through his body. Carroll was killed instantly, and no foul play is suspected. Rogers/Atkins Funeral Home will be assisting the family with arrangements.
