Four accidents were reported to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office this past week. On Wednesday, November 21st, deputies responded to an accident, where 24-year-old Alexandra Cook of Irvington struck the back of 63-year-old Dennis Sherman’s vehicle. That accident caused Sherman’s vehicle to overturn. No injuries ere reported, but Cook was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident and failure to wear a seatbelt. On Thursday, November 22nd, 2 accidents were called in. the 1st one was a minor one, where 22-year-old Alex Rossel of Okawville struck a parked car owned by 42-year-old Tammy Fulton of Ashley. Rossel hit Fulton’s vehicle, which was parked in a parking lot at the Road Ranger in Okawville. The 2nd accident on Thursday involved 3 vehicles. 86-year-old William Evans struck 65-year-old Robert Kempfer of Coulterville, which caused 66-year-old Calvin McClintock to hit the disabled vehicle of Kempfer. Two men were injured from this accident. Then on Sunday, November 25th, a single vehicle accident was reported. 18-year-old Jamiyah Hughes, of St. Louis, Missouri, lost control of his vehicle, after having his tire blow out. The vehicle then struck the median. No injuries were reported from this accident.
