Illinois Realtors’ reports that Illinois statewide home sales were down by less than 1-percent in the month of October from last year. 4 homes were sold in Washington County last month, which is down by 10 homes or by 71-percent from what we saw in October 2017. In Clinton County, 26 homes were sold in October, up by 1 house or by 4-percent from last year. The Statewide Median Price in October was right at $190,000, up by 2.7-percent or by $5,000 from October 2017. The median is a typical market price where half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. In Washington County, the median price was up by 2.7-percent, for a figure of $90,850. In 2017, it was at $88,500. The median price in Clinton County was $125,250, down from $142,500 or by 12-percent from October of 2017. So far this year, 75 homes have been sold in Washington County, with an average price of $93,000. Clinton County has 257 homes sold in 2018 so far, with an average price being $135,000. Homes were on the market an average of 51 days in Illinois, down from 53 days in October 2017. In Washington County, homes were on the market for an average of 108 so far this year, down from last year, which was at 114 days.
