Two accidents were reported in our area this past week. On Thursday, February 21st, Washington County Deputies responded to a crash along county Highway 12, near Bluebell Road. Brenda Johnston Berry ended up losing control of her vehicle, and overturned. On Saturday, February 23rd, deputies responded to county highway 10, at County Highway 12, in regard to an accident. Shane Capps, of St. Genevieve, Missouri, failed to stop at the T-intersection stop sign, and drive his semi-truck into Susan Davis, of New Athens. Both vehicles were drivable and there were minor injuries reported. Capps ended up getting cited for disobeying a stop sign.
