Illinois Realtors’ reports that Illinois statewide home sales were down by just under 2-percent from last year in February. 7 homes were sold in Washington County last month, which is down by 4 homes or by 36-percent from what we saw in February 2018. In Clinton County, 16 homes were sold in February, up by 3 houses or by 23-percent from last year. The Statewide Median Price in February was right at $187,000, up by 1.1-percent from February 2018. The median is a typical market price where half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. In Washington County the median price was at $110,000, down by 12 percent from last year. In Clinton County, the median price was down by 12-percent, for a figure of $129,750. So far this year, 13 homes have been sold in Washington County, with an average price of $161,750. Clinton County has 38 homes sold in 2019 so far, with an average price being $118,500. Homes were on the market an average of 68 days in Illinois, which is down from last year. In Washington County, homes were on the market for an average of 102 so far this year, up from last year, which was at about 80 days.
