Illinois Realtors’ reports that Illinois statewide home sales were down by 9.9-percent in the month of March from last year. 7 homes were sold in Washington County last month, which is down by 1 home or by 12.5-percent from what we saw in March 2018. In Clinton County, 27 homes were sold in March, up by 6 houses or by 28.5-percent from last year. The Statewide Median Price in March was right at $198,000, up by 1-percent from March 2018. The median is a typical market price where half the homes sold for more and half sold for less. In Washington County, the median price was at $126,000, up by under 1-percent from last year. The median price in Clinton County was $138,000, up from $123,500 or by 11.7-percent from March of 2018. So far this year, 20 homes have been sold in Washington County, with an average price of $136,500. Clinton County has 65 homes sold in 2019 so far, with an average price being $126,000. Homes were on the market an average of 63 days in Illinois, down from 65 days in March 2018. In Washington County, homes were on the market for an average of 96 so far this year, up from last year, which was at about 93 days.
