Centralia firefighters responded to a Thursday night fire, along the 600 block of South Locust Street and along 15th and South Elm Street.  Efforts were hampered since there was a water main broken, so that effected the South Locust fire.  The 1st call came in from the fire along 15th and South Elm, with the South Locust call coming in 15 minutes later.  Reports say that the structure at South Locust was used for storage, with firefighters having to rerun their lines through a hydrant a block away from the fire.  EMS services were on hand with bottled water and cool towels, in order to help firefighters, beat the heat.
