WAYNE COUNTY — A dozen people have been arrested in connection with a law enforcement operation conducted in honor of fallen Wayne County Sheriff’s Deputy Sean Riley.

“Operation 96-6,” is the result of investigations conducted by the Wayne County Sheriff’s Office into the distribution and possession of illegal drugs in Wayne County.

According to the sheriff’s office, warrants for numerous individuals were obtained with the assistance of the Wayne County State’s Attorney’s Office.

As a result, 12 suspects were arrested over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, with many of those arrested being charged with new offenses discovered during their arrest.

Those arrested includes, 41-year-old Dustin R. Pike, 25-year-old Brittany N. Bednar,

21-year-old Autumn R. White, 28-year-old Kyle P. Altizer, 33-year-old Allison G. Altizer, 49-year-old, Thomas W. Cramer, 44-year-old Tracy L. Cornwell, 44-year-old Michael T. Thomason, 36-year-old Renea M. Henson, 66-year-old Michael G. Deffendall, 30-year-old Zachary S. Henson, and 41-year-old Amanda I Stanley.

Additional arrests from the operation are anticipated.
