MOUNT VERNON — Two women are in the Jefferson County Jail on meth-related charges following their arrests Thursday by members of the Mt Vernon Police Department / Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department Narcotics Unit.

According to the Mt. Vernon Police Department, the Narcotics Unit served a search warrant just before 3 p.m. Thursday at 603 Kensington in Mt Vernon. The search warrant was a result of an ongoing investigation regarding the sales of narcotics at the residence.

As a result of the search warrant, 35-year-old Jadie N Jordan was arrested for alleged Delivery of between 15 and 100 grams of Methamphetamine r, Possession of Fentanyl, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Drug Equipment.

Law enforcement also arrested 21-year-old Harleigh A Hodges on charges of alleged Possession of less than 5 grams of Methamphetamine and Possession of Hypodermic Needles.

Narcotics detectives reportedly located quantities of methamphetamine, fentanyl, packaging materials, drug equipment, stolen property, and currency in the search of the home.

Both women were taken the Jefferson County Jail with bond remaining to be set.

This is an ongoing investigation with additional charges possible in the future.
