SALEM, IL — The Marion County Sheriff’s Department, with the help of citizens and new technology, has questioned two 17-year-old Salem area young men, regarding stolen road signs. A vehicle was spotted last Saturday, traveling on Route 161 Extension with signs hanging out of the windows. The juveniles were pulled over and interviewed. They returned the signs to the highway department, but some of them were damaged. The case has been forwarded to the State’s Attorney for possible charges.
