MARION – The Southern Illinois Salvation Army is now accepting donations for those affected by Friday night’s tornado in southern Williamson County.

Donations will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Salvation Army Thrift Store located at 906 Tower Square Plaza in Marion. Please clearly mark them for disaster relief.

The following items will be accepted: Bedding, Towels, Toiletries, Hygiene Products, Pet Food, Diapers, Formula, Baby Wipes, Clothing (all sizes) and Household Goods (coffee pots, pots and pans, dishes, etc.)

Anyone affected by the tornado is eligible to receive help from the Salvation Army. However, they must have a case number from the Red Cross.
