CENTRALIA – The City of Centralia plans to conduct maintenance and connections of water transmission lines starting Wednesday. Due to this maintenance, the amount of water in storage will be reduced.

Officials are requesting customers to conserve water starting Wednesday at 1 a.m. through Saturday, July 12 at 8 a.m., while the maintenance is completed and the storage reserves are replenished. Everyone is asked to limit non-essential water use such as laundry, filling pools, power washing or washing vehicles over the course of this time.

As usual any broken water lines should be reported at once to the city between the hours of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. by calling 618-533-7623 or by calling the non-emergency number after hours at 618-533-7602.
