MT. VERNON – Mt. Vernon firefighters were called out Friday morning to Cracker Barrel due to a small fire in the HVAC ductwork.

According to the fire department, the building was ventilated and all fire units have cleared the scene.

The restaurant is still closed, but expects to be back open for lunch today.
