
Robert “Bob” Wolfe age 83 of Salem, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025, at HSHS St. John’s Hospital in Springfield. Bob was born on November 8, 1942, in Mt. Erie, Illinois the son of Lot and Lavada (Ferguson) Wolfe. He married Marsha (Lesher) Wolfe on November 23, 1977, in Wadesville, Indiana and together they shared 48 years united in marriage. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Wolfe of Salem; sons, Troy Wolfe of Fort Branch, Indiana, Heath Wolfe and wife Trina of Knoxville, Tennessee, and Clint Wolfe and wife Danette of Salem; grandchildren, Steven Wolfe, Taylor Wolfe and wife Cindy, Luke Wolfe, Ethan Wolfe, Trevor Wolfe, Quinn Wolfe and EJ Wolfe; along with several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews, Jack Hadden, Michael Goodrum, Josh Goodrum, Sherry Goodwin, and Craig Runyon. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lot and Lavada; and his siblings, Bill Wolfe, Bernie Wolfe, and Betty Talley. Bob farmed for much of his life and retired from his role as a District Director with the USDA. He was a proud and long-time member of Evergreen Christian Church in Salem. He loved to travel, spend time trail riding, and enjoyed watching his grandchildren play in their sporting events. Celebration of life services for Robert “Bob” Wolfe will be held on Wednesday, November 26, 2025, at 6:00 pm at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem. There will be a time to visit with the family on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of the service. Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, the American Heart Association, or the Evergreen Christian Church Building Fund and will be received at the funeral home.
