James Lewis Mosley, age 91 of Alma, passed away on Thursday, December 18, 2025, at Nature Trail Health and Rehab Center in Mt. Vernon.

Jim was born on October 19, 1934, in Vandalia, the son of James Lewis Mosley Sr. and Pearl (Sterling) Mosley.  He married Karlyn Rippy on August 13, 1955, in Alma and she survives.

In addition to his wife Karlyn Mosley, he is survived by two children, James Lewis Mosley III and wife Georgine of Colorado and Kimberly Coates and husband Andy of Missouri; grandchildren, Josh Deadmond and wife Jessica, Jimmy Mosley and wife Dey Lyn, Amy Cooley and husband Josh, Sarah McKissick and husband Terrill, Shastine Mosley and wife Chris, and Marsha White and husband Steve; and several great and great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings; and one son, Donald Mosley.

Jim was a member of the Alma Christian Church for many years.   He served his country in the United States Navy.  He retired from McDonnell Douglas where he dedicated many years as an electrician.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, riding all 48 contiguous states.   He was a member of the Retreads International Motorcycle Club and the Christian Motorcycle Association.  More than anything, Jim enjoyed being with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Funeral Services for James Lewis Mosley will be held at Noon on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Alma Christian Church in Alma with Randy Van Ausdall officiating.  A time of visitation will be held from 10:30 am until Noon.  Private interment will be held in Alma Cemetery.  Military Rites will be accorded at the church by the Salem American Legion and the Patriot Guard.  Memorial contributions can be made to the Alma Christian Church and can be received at the church or at Crouse Funeral Home in Salem who is assisting the family with arrangements.  Online condolences can be left at www.CrouseFH.com
