MT. VERNON – The United Way of South Central Illinois will host a free NACA Homebuyer Workshop Saturday offering local residents a real, proven pathway to homeownership—without the traditional financial barriers that keep so many families stuck renting.
The workshop is presented in partnership with the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America (NACA), a national nonprofit HUD-certified organization known for providing what many consider the best mortgage in America: no down payment, no closing costs, no fees, no PMI, and a below-market fixed interest rate.
This event is designed for renters, first-time homebuyers, and working families who may have been discouraged by credit scores, rising home prices, or lack of savings.
“This is not a sales pitch and it’s not a quick fix,” said Natalie Shook, Executive Director of United Way of South Central Illinois. “It’s a serious, responsible program that helps people become homeowners the right way—and stay homeowners.”
