Emma Sue Mulvaney, age 93 of Kinmundy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 8, 2026. She was born on August 23, 1932, in Charleston, Missouri, to George and Emma Cox.
On November 26, 1950, Sue married the love of her life, Eugene “Gene” Mulvaney. They shared 61 wonderful years of marriage until Gene’s passing on December 19, 2011. Together, they were blessed with four children and built a life rooted in faith, hard work, and love for family.
She was baptized and a faithful member of the Brown Christian Church, where she and Gene devotedly served throughout their lives. Her faith was an important foundation, guiding the way she lived and loved others.
A true hard worker, Sue spent much of her life working alongside her husband on the family farm. Together, they owned and ran a gift shop in Kinmundy, and she also sold home interior décor. No matter the job, she put her heart into everything she did.
Sue loved to cook and deeply cherished her family. She was happiest when surrounded by others and often said she “loved being around people.” Whether visiting, traveling, or simply gathering with loved ones, she found joy in connection and community.
She is survived by her two daughters, Cindy Bassett and husband Brian of Kinmundy, and Gina Eutsler and husband Mark of Kinmundy.
She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jami Guy (Bassett) and husband Chris, Kyli Holmes (Bassett) and husband Craig, Shae Moseley and wife Toni of San Diego, Sheena Cooley (Moseley) and husband Jake, Lyndsey Young (Eutsler) and husband Chris, and Kelsey Ramos (Eutsler) and husband Shane.
Her legacy continues through her great grandchildren, Carter and Karli Holmes, Collin and Auicka Flowers, Wyatt and Kennedy Cooley, Adalyn and Ava Young, and Chase Ramos.
She is further survived by one sister in-law, Dorene Cox, as well as several nieces and nephews, and many special friends she considered family.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gene; her daughter and son in-law, Rhonda and Bill Moseley; her son, Rickey Eugene Mulvaney, who passed away at the age of five; and 12 brothers and sisters. She was the last living sibling of her family.
Sue Mulvaney will be remembered for her strong work ethic, her warm heart, her faith, and her love for people. Her life was a blessing to all who knew her, and her memory will live on through the many lives she touched.
