The Saint Louis Cardinals beat the Milwaukee Brewers 2 to 1 in the weekend series, winning 7 to 6 on Friday night, 10 to 2 on Saturday, but lost 11 to 2 yesterday.  They are off for the All-Star break until Friday, when they take on the Los Angeles Dodgers.

In extra time, Germany wins the World Cup, 1 to nothing over Argentina.
