The Nashville City Council will meet tonight for their regular meeting, but will meet at 6:45 PM for a public hearing. It will be about appropriations for the next year. This may include discussion about money for the new street shed. The regular meeting will begin at 7 PM. There will be discussion and possible vote on an ordinance regarding the appropriation of funding from the public hearing topic. There will also be a guest speaker talking about a cannabis cultivation center and what it entails. Then there will be discussion on what ordinances cover such a business or what might be needed for the business to operate in the city limits. There will be discussion about a new hire and some equipment in the street department, as well as the recycling report. The Council will go over some bids for a new truck for the gas department, as well as more information on the utility billing cards. They will also discuss and possibly vote on financing for the new street department shed. The public is invited to attend.
