Charges keep piling up against former Fairfield Community High School coach Timothy Going, who was arraigned Monday on a new four-count federal indictment. The 43-year old is charged with Attempted Sexual Exploitation of a Minor and Possession of Visual Depictions of Minors Engaged in Sexually Explicit Conduct. A detention hearing has been scheduled for August 5th to determine whether or not going should be held without bond pending trial. Three counts of the indictment allege that Going attempted to sexually exploit minors by using them in an attempt to produce child pornography. The charges stem from three separate incidents: August 24-25, 2012, October 26-27, 2012, and November 1-2, 2013. Another count alleges that on May 9, 2014, Going knowingly possessed a desktop computer and a laptop computer, both of which contained visual depictions of minors engaged in sexually explicit conduct. A trial is scheduled for September 30, 2014. The penalties for each of the first 3 counts are no less than 15 years, but not more than 30 years in a federal prison, a fine up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release of not less than 5 years to life. The penalties for the other count are a term in prison of not more than 10 years, a fine up to $250,000, and a term of supervised release of not less than 5 years to life.
