Another semi-tractor trailer truck caught fire while on Interstate 64. According to the Illinois State Police, on Monday at approximately 5:35 PM, there was a call that a semi was going east and pulled off the road near mile marker 61 as it caught fire. The couple from Arkansas driving the semi were unable to get the fire extinguished or unhitch the trailer from the cab, so the whole rig burned up. No one was injured though, but the truck and its food product contents were a total loss. The right lane of I-64 was shut down for hours due to the fire vehicles and then clean-up of debris.
