There was an increase in the number of animals that need homes at the Washington County Animal Shelter in the past week.  There are now 15 dogs, while only 1 of 10 was adopted, so there are 6 new ones, including a couple boxer puppies.  The dogs’ ages range from 8 years old to 3 months old.  There still 5 cats available this week, but there are also 6 kittens needing homes.  Dog adoption fee is $30, which includes an A.V.I.D. Identification Chip.  In addition, new owners will receive a certificate for $50 off spaying or neutering.  Pictures are available online at www.petfinder.com and type in 62263 at the first space in the upper left.  Aluminum cans are accepted for recycling, which helps pay for expenses at the shelter.  It is located at 17,990 Richview Road in Nashville.  For more information, call 327-4800, extension 355.
