The Saint Louis Cardinals won their last regular homes series of the year, as they beat the Cincinnati Reds. The Cards held on 2 to 1 on Friday night, they won 8 to 4 on Saturday night, but lost 7 to 2 last night.  They also clinched a playoff spot.  They take on the Chicago Cubs tonight.

The Saint Louis Rams could not hold off the Dallas Cowboys and lost 34 to 31 yesterday after leading 21 to nothing.

In college football on Saturday, Illinois beat Texas State 42 to 35 and SIU Carbondale lost 35 to 13 to Purdue.

The Nashville Hornet football team remains undefeated with their 34 to 28 win over Anna-Jonesboro Friday night.
