A Monday afternoon Amber Alert for two Southern Illinois sisters had a happy ending, with the two girls being located safe and reunited with their family.  The Williamson County Sheriff’s Office is thanking everyone who helped investigators find 9-year old Corbyn and 7-year old Celsie Erwin.  Sheriff Bennie Vick says his office received several calls from people who had spotted the Dodge van.  Those calls led officers to the Crab Orchard Lake and Lake of Egypt areas.  During the search, a deputy saw the van at King Tut’s convenience store on Route 37.  The girls were reunited with their family at the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office and their step-father Damon Jones was taken into custody.  Vick says Jones will be charged with kidnapping with more charges possible.  Officers with Illinois State Police, Illinois Department of Conservation, U.S. Fish and Wildlife and other agencies assisted in the search.
