Washington County Sheriff Danny Bradac is warning residents about the Jury Duty Scam that involves an individual calling a person and telling them they missed scheduled jury duty and an arrest warrant has been issued.  The caller tells the victim they can avoid arrest for missing this jury duty if they pay a fine immediately.  This scam has been getting more popular, so the sheriff wants residents to know that this is not how the notice of jury duty is delivered, and that this is not how arrest warrants are served, so be very suspicious of any phone calls that are like this scenario.  Call his office at 618-327-4800, extension 335 if you have questions.
