The filing date for the April election ended last night at 5 PM for school boards and the city councils.  In Nashville, there are 3 seats up for election and only Terry Kozuszek is re-running.  Newcomers Eric Rolf, Dennis Kellerman and Victor Lopez are joining the race, so one will lose.  For the Nashville High School Board of Education, there are 3 positions open, but only Paul J. Barczewski is running, as Doug Snead, Dave Ibendahl and Scott Thompson did not submit their names.  For the Nashville Grade School, there are 4 openings as Dave Engele and Shawn Knepp are re-running, as Kevin Rench and Dave Niermann are not seeking re-election.  New to the ballot are Janine Pieszchalski and Eric “Ric” Jones.  On the Ashley Grade School Board of Education, there are 3 openings and another for an unexpired term.  All 3 candidates are currently on the Board and that includes Donna “Knight” Hicks, Ross Schultze and Terry Schettler.  For Hoyleton Grade School Board, there are 3 seats open and the unexpired position, but only Megan P. Barnett is running, as Debbie Beckmeyer, Sandy Martin, Mark Haveck and Krys Schnitker are not seeking re-election.  There are 3 openings and an unexpired seat on the Irvington Grade School Board of Education.  Gera Sims, Steve Tatjenhorst and Sandra L. Neabuhr are all seeking re-election, while Denise R. Thurman is running for the unexpired seat.  For the Oakdale Grade School Board of Education, Jeffrey Bergmann and Mark Snead are seeking re-election and new to the ballot will be Kristy A. Geppart and Samantha Harre for the 4 open seats.  On the West Washington County School Board of Education, Ron Recker is seeking re-election, but Heather Todd and Dale Lake are not.  There are 3 seats open, so there will be a loser, as the other 3 candidates are Paul Johnson, Dennis Linker and Brett Roe.  A person can still get votes as a write-in, but they must submit their intent to file as a write in by some point in the new year.
