An early morning rollover on the Interstate 64 westbound ramp at Route 37 has sent one person to the hospital. According to the Illinois State Police, a semi-tractor trailer truck driven by a 64-year old male from Pueblo, Colorado, rolled over on the ramp at approximately 6:10 AM yesterday. The Mount Vernon Police Department, the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, the ISP and the Jefferson Fire Protection District initially responded to the scene with the report of unknown injuries. The driver was sent to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries. The ramp was closed for several hours. The driver was cited for Improper Lane Usage.
