The Washington County Sheriff’s Department responded to 3 accidents. All 3 were on Saturday with one in Hoyleton, as it involved 38-year old Rodrek A. Cunningham of Centralia, who was then issued a citation for Improper Lane Usage. The next accident was at U.S. Route 51 at State Route 15 involving one vehicle. 21-year old Briana C. Shaw of Carbondale was cited for Failure to Reduce Speed to Avoid an Accident. Finally, there as an accident involving 30-year old Matthew Schilling of Sparta, who hit a deer on Oakdale Blacktop Road, east of Hayes Road. There was no mention of any injuries in the accidents. They also responded to a report of fraud in the Lively Grove area, received a report of downed power lines on State Route 153, arrested 34-year old Jeremy F. West of DuQuoin on an Outstanding Perry County Body Attachment, reported to domestic trouble at a residence on Route 153 near Coulterville, assisted the Washington County Animal Control at a residence in Richview, took a report of identity theft from a resident of rural Venedy, responded to an abandoned vehicle on County Highway 16, just north of Ford Road in Oakdale, assisted the Nashville Police with an incident at Little Nashville, conducted a welfare check at a residence near Richview and spoke with a resident of Centralia in reference to a stolen vehicle.
