The Nashville High School Board of Education will meet tonight, even though it is a school holiday. There will be a public hearing on the issuance of $850,000 of School Fire Prevention and Safety Bonds. The money will be used to get rid of asbestos in much of the school in the flooring, as well as replacing the flooring. The regular meeting will follow and they will take action on this issue. They will discuss maintenance work, go over the financial statement for the first half of the school year, talk about upcoming parent – teachers’ conferences, consider proposed curriculum changes as presented last month, discuss a dedication plaque for the auditorium and consider fees for use of the auditorium and cafeteria. The public is invited to attend, as the meeting is in the Media Center at 6 PM.
