Nashville Postmaster Barri Betz earned a Gateway District Award for keeping postal customers current on postal news and information.  District Manager and Lead Executive for the U.S. Postal Service David F. Martin presented the award to Betz in March during an awards luncheon.  Martin said, “Barri works with the local area media to provide news and information about the Postal Service to residential and business customers in the Nashville area.  The Postal Service is a vital part of the American economy and the engine that drives a trillion dollar mailing industry that employs 8 million Americans,” he said.  “Keeping postal customers informed and up-to-date on information concerning their mail and postal operations is a significant part of a postmaster’s role in the community.”  Betz was appointed to the position of Postmaster in Nashville in 2012.
