The Illinois State Police out of District 13 report that there was a multiple vehicle accident with injuries on Friday late morning in Perry County on Route 154 at Hitt Road that involved a Nashville man. According to the report a motorcycle driven by Timothy F. Wisneski of Nashville and another commercial motor vehicle driven by Scott D. Mattingly of Mount Vernon were slowing for construction zone traffic on Route 154 at Hitt Road. A commercial motor vehicle driven by Gary L. Lahmann of Farmington, Missouri failed to reduce speed and was unable to avoid impacting with Wisneski. As a result, it was pushed into the rear of the vehicle driven by Mattingly. Wisneski was knocked off the motorcycle and onto the roadway. Lahmann’s vehicle also impacted the rear of the other vehicle. Lahmann was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident. Route 154 at Hitt Road was closed for 4 and one half hours. All three drivers were taken to Marshal Browning hospital in DuQuoin.
