Precipitation was down in April from the previous month.  According to readings taken by the City of Nashville Water Plant, there were 2.84 inches of rain.  Last April there was 8.05 inches of rain.  Rain last month fell the most with .82 inches on the 10th.  To date, there has been 9.44 inches of rain for the year.  High temperatures were mostly in the 60s.  The high temperature though was 79 degrees on April 10th, the day with the most rain.  Low temperatures were mostly in the 40s, but the lowest was 34 degrees on April 4th and 5th, but a couple of days the low was in the 60s.  In April 2014, the high was 78 and the low was 30 degrees.  The average high temperature last month was 67.4 degrees, up nearly 16 degrees from March, while the average low temperature in April was at 47.3 degrees, also nearly 16 degrees higher than the previous month, as we began to get the warm up.
