The U.S. Agriculture Department announced that Gusto Packing of Montgomery, Illinois is recalling 67,110 pounds of sliced ham products because of possible Listeria contamination. The hams were distributed in Illinois and other states. Products subject to recall include “Centrella Signature, Hardwood Hickory Smoked, Spiral Sliced Ham with Natural Juices”, “AMISH VALLEY, Fully Cooked, Hickory Smoked Spiral Sliced Ham” and “Ripple Creek Farms, Fully Cooked, Ready To Eat, Hickory Smoked, Spiral Sliced Ham.” The contaminated ham can cause fever, muscle aches, headache, stiff neck, confusion, loss of balance and convulsions sometimes preceded by diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms.
